Reiki is a healing modality developed in 20th century in Japan by Dr.
Mikao Usui. It can be helpful for stress reduction and relaxation and
promotes healing. Reiki is done by a “laying on of hands” technique.
Our bodies have “life force” energy. If your “life force energy” is low or
off balance, you are more likely to get sick and feel stress. When your
“life force energy” is high, you are happy, balanced and healthy.

The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words. Rei which means
“God’s wisdom or the “higher power” and Ki which is “life force
energy”. Reiki is actually spiritually guided life force energy.

A treatment may feel like a warm energy or vibration flowing through
the practitioner’s hands through and around you. A “tingling feeling”
can be felt through out the body. Reiki works with the energies of
body, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects such as
relaxation, focus, serenity and well being.

Reiki is a tool used in spiritual healing and self improvement that
everyone can benefit from. Reiki can be performed on animals,
plants, food and inanimate objects. Reiki is effective in helping relieve
illness. There is always a beneficial effect. It works well in conjunction
with other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects
and promote recovery.
